Lucky Day Competitions is run by Ace Competitions Limited, incorporated in Northern Ireland in 2019. The brand was built around its founder Sammy Heaney, who became a public figure in the agricultural and farming media world through the associated social media presence. In November 2025, Sammy stepped back from her director role, with Sabrina McKeever taking over. The reasons for the change haven't been publicly explained, and the brand's direction under the new director isn't yet clear.
How it works
Fixed-odds draws with a skill question. Most standard competitions are 97p per ticket, with prices ranging from 10p to £24.97. Three draw types: live Facebook draws using Google's Random Number Generator (with ticket numbers visible), auto draws triggered on sellout or timer expiry, and instant wins where every ticket gets a notification immediately. At least one winner is guaranteed per draw.
Free entry: Postal entry to their Newry address — handwritten, with your competition name, full name, address, contact details, and the skill question answer. Hand-delivered entries aren't accepted.

Honest watch points
