Dream Car Giveaways was founded in 2018 by Marcus Hickling and the Andrews brothers — all automotive enthusiasts, all still involved through the earn-out period ending December 2026. In October 2025, the company was acquired by Jumbo Interactive UK Ltd, an ASX-listed Australian lottery and gaming platform operator, for approximately £53.9 million (AUD $109.9M). The founders resigned as directors on the day of acquisition but remain contracted to lead the business.

Ownership context

DCG is the only UK car competition site in our dataset now owned by an Australian-listed company. Jumbo Interactive (ASX: JIN) operates lottery and gaming platforms across multiple jurisdictions; this is their first significant entry into the UK market. The acquisition at that price — roughly 3× annual adjusted EBITDA — validates the size of the market and provides institutional financial backing, but it also means DCG is no longer a founder-run business in the traditional sense.

How it works

Fixed-odds competition with a multiple-choice skill question. Ticket prices range from 9p to £2.60, with most in the 29p–£1.99 bracket. Ticket limits per competition are typically 3,000–10,000. Live draws run on Friday and Sunday nights, streamed by human presenters on Facebook and YouTube using PHP's random_int() function. New prizes are added daily.

Free entry: Postal entry to their PO Box in Pershore. Multiple entries are allowed up to the competition limit, each posted separately. A sliding scale applies: a 49p competition gets you two entries per stamp, a 29p one gets three, a 9p one gets ten.

What's on offer

At the premium end: Porsche GT3 RS, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 600LT, Ferrari, plus property prizes (houses at £500,000+, with Stamp Duty Land Tax covered). Mid-range: BMW M3 Touring, Audi RS6/RS7, Range Rover. Cash alternatives run up to £120,000, tax-free. Cash prizes paid directly to your bank account — multiple winners report payment within 15 hours.

Trust signals

  • Founded 2018 (7+ years), founders still visible in day-to-day operations
  • Acquired by ASX-listed public company at significant valuation — institutional stability
  • DCMS Voluntary Code signatory
  • Live draws with human presenters on Facebook/YouTube — results verifiable
  • Rapid cash payment widely reported
  • 8,200+ Trustpilot reviews at 4.0/5

Concerns — read before entering

Android app not on Google Play Store. DCG's Android app is distributed as an APK file rather than through Google Play. This suggests it may have been removed from the store. Sideloading APKs carries security risks worth considering if you're thinking of using the app.

Winners page isn't a complete record. The site shows highlight-reel winners with photos and testimonials, but you can't independently verify a complete list of all draw results. The lack of a full draw archive makes independent verification harder than it should be.

Repeat winner controversy. A user called "Dominic" was reported to have won three major prizes within 1–2 weeks. DCG's response — that this is mathematically possible under independent draws — is technically correct, but the company's subsequent flagging of critical Trustpilot reviews as containing "illegal or harmful content" raised concerns about how they handle criticism.

Data sharing. Multiple entrants report being contacted by third-party gambling sites after signing up with DCG. Review the privacy policy and marketing opt-outs carefully when you register.

Who it suits

DCG's combination of a broad prize range (including property), fast cash payouts, and institutional backing makes it one of the more substantial operators in the market. The 4.0 Trustpilot score is lower than several competitors, which partly reflects the winner-transparency concerns. If fast cash payouts matter to you, this is strong. If full draw transparency matters more, look at Rev Comps (ball machine, full archive) or 7 Days Performance (ticket count shown upfront).
