The draw completes, the ticket number is called, and somewhere a phone is about to ring. Here's what to expect from that moment through to having the car — or the cash — in your hands.

Immediately after the draw

Most operators contact the winner within minutes to a couple of hours of the draw. The call or email comes from the operator directly. For live-streamed draws, the ticket number is announced on-screen before anyone is contacted.

Do not assume you've been forgotten if you don't hear immediately. Draws sometimes complete outside office hours. Operators may need to verify the ticket against their database before making contact. A delay of a few hours is normal; a delay of days is unusual and worth raising with the operator.

If you think you may have won and haven't been contacted: find the draw recording (most are posted to Facebook/YouTube within hours), note the winning ticket number, and check it against your tickets. If it's yours and you haven't heard within 24 hours, contact customer support directly.

Receiving the car
